Beanfield Condoconnect is a fully owned subsidiary of Beanfield Metroconnect, a Toronto based telecommunications provider that has been servicing the needs of local businesses since 1988. Through a government led initiative, Beanfield Condoconnect has been awarded a very prestigious contract to build and operate an ultra-high-speed, ultra-broadband fibre-optic network. The network will be constructed on the lands being revitalized by Waterfront Toronto www.waterfrontoronto.ca, which is the largest urban revitalization project in North America.

The network will rank within the top 7 of the most sophisticated in the world, bringing unheard of Internet speeds to residents. The concept is referred to as an "Intelligent Community", which promotes economic growth and sustainable development in areas that have no current fibre-optic infrastructure. The network will also embrace an open access concept, whereby residents can buy services from any provider that opts to connect to the Intelligent Community network (not just Beanfield Condoconnect).
